    It is a virtual certainty that the lawyer representing plaintiff accepted this case on a contingent fee basis. Not a good bet IMHO.

    Yes, I am a lawyer, admitted to practice over fifty years ago, though I do no negligence work.

    I think it's pathetic, and it won't get very far. Also, the timing of this (given the GermanWings crash) is pretty bad...

    Think it's bizarre and not necessarily and question for pilots. It's more a question for the "not my fault" generation.

    I'm neither a lawyer, nor pilot, but this seems ill timed with many wrestling with the German Wings crash. That being said, I'd rather see pilots melt down in a court of law, or a medical professional's office than when they're at the controls with so many innocent lives in the balance….T

    The case is weird. If he was on board a ship maybe he'd be covered under the Jones Act, but I don't think that aviation law is the same. Lawyer is going to lose money on this one, I think.
