I always enjoy looking at instrument panels. From Cessna 150s to 747s and everything in between. Maybe that makes me a little weird. Anyways, I'll start with this, 747-8. Lets see some more.

This might sound strange, but the best part of the Mooney panel for me is the analog clock on the yoke. Very cool looking.

While I could probably get that DA40 started, I'd be lost on the panel. Assuming the COMMs are integrated. I may never get a taxi clearance!

I love the Mooney's analog clock as well. Hell, I just love Mooneys!

As for the DA40, yes nav and coms are all integrated (as is the autopilot). This pic is the PDF (pilot side), nav and coms are in the upper left and right corners. You can see the nav and com dials on the side bezels. Truly amazing stuff for a small single engine prop general aviation plane.

What are the black knobs on each side of the panel?

It looks like the gfc700 controls are only on the mfd side. Is that right?

Right. In the club's C172SP, they're on both the PFD and MFD.

The best pilot's jet I ever had the privilege to fly. 220 KIAS Heavyweight No-flap landings were a hoot!

If I had the necessary means for the necessary means or was a Little Lebowski Urban Acheiver, that's the plane I'd buy without a second thought.

The panel of my Citation SII. Lou, even though there are dual Davtrons, and clocks and timers in the Garmins and Avidine, you may notice I still have an analog watch velcro'd to my yoke. I use it over all the others.

I've always liked the Citation panels. Something about the unique tapes gauges.

Cockpit of a VLJ whose name I won't say (starts with E) because it attracts trolls.
Notice the hi tech GPS that they were originally configured with. Not certified as /G so no direct TO, simply airways and VOR to VOR. Also not FIKI as originally delivered. All in all I was somewhat underwhelmed.

A BE 58 (Beech Baron 58). A much more useful, if older technology, than the above "E" type. Known ice, fully coupled, a step back it time instrument wise, but ahead in usability.

Rock solid. Dependable, reliable, radar that will fry eggs and a hot plate that will melt the windshield.
