September "Air Classics" - worth a look:

    Regardless of what you may think of the long-running U.S. magazine Air Classics – I happen to like it and have been a subscriber for 32 years – their September issue is worth looking into.

    Described as a “Victory! Edition”, it presents a chronological history, in photos, of the USAAF in World War II. Scattered among the photos are some color side-view drawings and reproductions of wartime magazine ads for aircraft and equipment, though these are reproduced too small to be readable.

    Many of the photos are familiar – I remember first seeing many of them in 1957’s “Air Force”, which I enjoyed going through in my junior high school library – but it is still a good thing to have them all together in one place again. Note that this is Army only; no Navy or Marine types, which hopefully will be featured in a future issue.
