Not really a lot of places other then Trade a Plane to post my need for a new mechanic. I have had a lot of aviation related luck here so far. Here is my add I have on TAP. Warbird A&P needed for a growing collection of vintage warbirds. Aircraft include award winning P-51, Corsair, 1928 C3b, PT-19, PT-22, 1929 Stinson plus more. Warbird experience a plus, but not required, desire to work on warbirds is only requirement. All work is on owned aircraft. We do no outside work, weekends or overtime. Great benefits including matching 401K, health and dental, sick days and vacation. If interested please forward a copy of your resume and/or any questions throught the contact information. Brant Seghetti was at my home visiting about 3 weeks ago. Does Steve have someone possibly? All help is appreciated
Well to be blunt, if you were in central Georgia I'd quit my job at Lockheed to care for all those birds, a few of which I have a lot of time wrenching on as well as flying. Alas, Springfield would be a heck of a commute for me. Find the most conscientious candidate you can and I sure wish you the best. It would be a dream come true to do that full time but I already have half a dozen I take care of as it is part time.
My friend is going to school now, if you would wait like 2 more years he would be all over it! Good luck finding someone.
