Pretty sure there is a thread on this somewhere. Do a search. Cirrus has the chute, Cessna has the speed. I think you'll find them to be pretty close in terms of maintenance costs and reliability.

    Cessna any day.

Just look at the safety record on the plastic parachute plane.

While they 'look' the same at first hand, they are quite different.

I test flew both a 2016 TTx with a Cessna factory pilot as well as the SR22 with a factory sales man; Initially i opted for the TTx but having flown both and carefully examining the specs, its hard to pass on the G5 SR22.

    Key differences in my opinion:
    - Useful load much higher in SR22 (G5)
    - Spacious entry & rear passenger space for SR22
    - Better avionics in TTx (G2000)
    - Better resale value SR22
    - Option for T and Non-T (SR22) - TTx is ONLY Turbo
    - Excessive user community (COPA, Cirrus)
    - Chute v. non-chute

My main USP's for the SR22 were really the space and the useful load. If you are looking at a G2 / G3, the useful load is very similar i believe but the G5 adds >200lbs in useful load. This means FULL fuel & FULL passenger capacity with maximum reach. In the TTx you need to shed fuel or shed passengers.
