    Well, wonderful!

I'm flying them from AVL to PGD in March.

their planes look like they will fall apart at any moment. I flew them a bunch because they are the only game in town for PHX (area) to JAC (area) where my houses are. And, their tickets are practically free. But, its likely only a matter of luck and time before their planes fall out of the sky. I avoid them unless its the only nonstop game in town and even then I will consider a change of planes trip to get to the same place.

    Punta Gorda?

    Right in my back yard.

Vacationing? Golf?? Maybe fishing? Or are you practicing to be a snow bird? Can't be on business.

I fly Allegiant all the time, so does my wife. Now I'm gonna twitch every time I get onboard.

I wonder if it's their MD80's that break, or the A320's they have. Generally the flights out of PDG are on the A320 or A319's they have. I have not been on the MD83 or 88's in over a year. Cursory glance at the article seems to focus on the MD80's.

My wife flies to Columbus, she seems to get more of the MD's.

Hmmmm . . . wonder where specifics are posted.

And, last but not least, by the time you pile on the charges, Allegiant is $212.00 round trip and Delta is $260.00, and I can fly anytime I want, not just Monday and Friday.

This has opened my eyes a little bit.

Rather go Ft Myers to Columbus, drive 20 extra minutes to that airport, and not sweat the flight.

Looks like their MD80s are the biggest problem, not surprising given how old they are and how many zillion hours they have on them, plus apparently marginal maintenance.

Isn't Allegiant the airline with the pilots who went on strike and complained loudly about the condition of the aircraft?
