Not sure how to embed Vimeo but it's a great video if you even remotely like the F-4 Phantom https://vimeo.com/199142621?ref=fb-share&1
Excellent video, thanks! My first career as a professional maintainer began on the F-4 at MacDill in 1977. First love.
Here is one way to fly it. A Luftwaffe colonel's farewell flight for his friends. Now mud-splattered friends. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4KLXlE9ZU4 What are the youtube embed tags here? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4KLXlE9ZU4[/ame]
All wonderful videos. The last one reminds me of being plane guard for carrier ops for the John F. Kennedy during my ship's (USS Julius A. Furer, DEG-6) 1972 Med cruise. On aircraft launch, we would be running balls to the wall stationed a few degrees off the JFK's bow, at about 2000 yards. Her aircraft at that time were A-7's and F-4's. When they were catapulted into the air, the F-4's would coming screaming low level over us.
got my first ride in F4, as part of the Navy pilot recruiting program, out of Floyd Bennett Field ( for me)... they picked up the tab for air fare, lodging, and the use of a white Chrysler 300 convertible for the weekend, plus a couple of rides in the F4... great memorable inducement to join up
