That is cool! Neat that she worked on the project so long and saw it through.

Very clever. Sort of reminds me of the Boeing Stratoliner that was once turned into a houseboat in Florida.

Hope they built this in an area not prone to wildfires.....

That was Howard Hughes personal 307. It was parked at an airport there when it was severely damaged by a hurricane. The body was converted to a houseboat, will all Hughes' custom finishes.

The 307 was the airliner that was 'converted' from the B-17. Was the first major airliner that was pressurized.

That is great, but doesn't say anything about how he used the cockpit. Would have to be used for a flight sim, or at least some kind of lounge with a view.

Two days ago my family spent the night at Jumbo Stay, Stockholm Arlanda airport. The cockpit room (#727, natch) with on suite bath and balcony was booked but room 727 (queen sized bed and overhead bunk) was very comfortable. Super cool experience having a beer on the wing while pilots taxiing just a couple hundred feet away waved back.
Was checking out the landing gear, wondering if Bob Parks had designed any of it :)
