Quick video of four ANA (Air Japan) 767's dealing with a strong crosswind in Narita, Japan [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvoC0h3JuN0[/ame]
I remember landing at SeaTac once and looking out my left side passenger window and seeing the center of the runway as we approached. Ended up being an amazingly smooth landing though. Everyone clapped!!
Shannon, Wellington and the Azors. Those are the worst crosswinds I can remember. Gandor is a close second.
I had the exact same experience in a Delta 767 landing in a stiff crosswind in Philadelphia! Don't recall if there was any applause.
