I thought I saw some red up high, sadly I didn't have the camera pointed up high enough. 0:11 in the video. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IilBxJGI4Fo[/ame]
Very cool ! Out of curiosity, and his could be the stupid question of the month, also note I have 0 flying knowledge, what would you do if your radar went kaput? It looks like you're flying between 2 storms. How would you manage to stay on a safe course through them? Please don't tell me that was taken while you were on the tarmac lol
While there's only 1 radome in the nose, there are 2 sets of everything else for the radar. So essentially we have 2 radars. I've never had both sets fail. It's extremely rare to have one unit fail. You could advise ATC of your lose of radar, and ask to follow a track that the aircraft ahead of you flew. Also, ATC near main airports has radar as well. I hope this answers it.
Looks like Lou isn't the only one.... Some nice northern lights shots Pilot captures Boeing 747 cockpit in stunning photo series | Daily Mail Online This one made me wonder what the rules are as it appears the pilot vacated the seat as to not be in the pic and the copilot is obviously taking the pic......
