I have a 1990 Testarossa and would like to add aftermarket wheels. I would like to go 19" all the way around. Does anyone know if I will have clearance issues? I would appreciate your comments and opinions. Thank You.

If you go with a nice set of 3 piece wheels, you should have no problems at all because the offsets, backspacing and wheel width will be correct. I have some 19" Fikse Profil 5S wheels for sale from my 512 TR. You could just buy the car too - then I can get that Lambo I told you about. ;)

    Hi John,

Nice speaking with you today. Keep the 512TR and buy the Lamborghini.

    Those Fikse wheels look nice.

Can you give me more information on your brake upgrade? I am pretty sure I want to do the same on my car.

    Chris

    Thank you for this link.

My TR is black and I want to go for the "Murdered Out" look.

I am leaning towards the Maya DTV 19" all the way around. The chrome or polished lip with the black center. Am I nuts or what?

    See the attached link:

Please give me your thoughts and comments.

I will keep my original wheels. I just want to change the look of my car a bit.

These are nice wheels but I think they look "heavy and bulky".....my humble opinion.

    You'll finance the loan, right???

Brakes are Brembo. They are either the Gran Turismo upgrade kit or the F50 brakes, I can't remember. They cost around $6K, but IMHO are well worth it.

Hmmm, not sure. I know what you mean about black center and spokes- I have seen pictures of black Kinesis rims on Ferraris and Lambos that look flat out awesome. The TR is plenty flashy by itself, which is why I think most guys opt for a cleaner look when upgrading rims, trying to preserve the original lines of the car. Best thing to do, if you want to bother, is see if you can get somebody handy with Photoshop to cut and paste a side shot of the rims onto a pic of a black TR so we can see how it looks. I know some other fchatters have done this before.

Whatever you go with, make sure you find out if spacers are required and more importantly, if longer or shorter lug bolts are needed.

side note---i did NOT need spacers for the kinesis wheels, but i did use shorter lug bolts on my 1990 tr..also you may know this, but make sure you toque and re-toque your lugs bolts, as dissimilar metals take time to tighten & match up...
