Seems odd that the compliance plate speaks of 'Federal' regulations, and the side lights and front indicators make me think that it is a USA spec car.

How does the roof fit into the front trunk? Must be in two pieces?

VIN decodes to a LHD Euro version though, so I wonder how the USA style side lights and front indicators ended up in it, unless it was imported to the USA at some point early in it's life and had to undergo the modifications to meet compliance regulations?

without paperwork to prove it's a factory one-off Targa - it is merely i hacked up TR with a honking radio.

I think (my opinion) it is unlikely the factory would put a second wing mirror up without wiring it up properly - but a chop-shop would glue one on for sure.

The gauges and odo are KM. It's less than 20K miles whatever it is (provided the odo is correct).

Interior is very rough looking. I wonder if this car was maintained the same way the Saudi Prince cares for his cars. If that is in fact the case, they should deduct another 20k.

I would say that is a red flag.

Just my opinion, but if this was indeed a Ferrari factory 1-off like the FX or 456 Wagon, there would be unique parts that would make this car seem convincing. You would at least think that Ferrari would have adapted the 328 Targa assembly modified to fit the TR in one beautiful swoop of the paint brush as only Ferrari could do it. But the more I look at this, the more I see hack job.

    .

Neither of those cars are factory one offs, but modified by Pininfarina (and a half dozen of each were built). I think only the Agnelli convertible Testarossa would qualify as a factory one off.

I do find the Ferrari stamped plate on this specific car peculiar to say the least.

Nevertheless it´s rare and may be factory-molested...a Testarossa Targa is just ugly...

Car is a Roach and a total hack job. Was here in San Antonio, nothing more than a part car.

It's a Suadi car, DOT'd for US and was stored in a barn north of town for too many years.

Roof folds down the middle and was broken when it came thru. interior is junk, needs exhaust etc.

    Seller is full of ****
