today I had to clean up a little my 360 m² cellar where are some cars , motorcycles and parts and parts and parts and.... so I also had to drive my BB out. after 3 month not seeing I put the main battery switch to on, sit inside, turned on the ignition, hearing the ignition box cheeping, the fuel pumps running. after 30 seconds I pushed the gas pedal 5 times - started the engine - and - was running with a little playing the gaspedal. after 1 minute in idle I drove outside and let her stand in the sunshine in front of my shop/garage. on munday I get more stuff and so I had not only to clean but rearrange and stack all the material. at about 5:30 pm I finished, have seen my nice BB and thaught it would be very good to move her a little. so after a quick shower I sit in my BB, started and went for a 150 km drive. in the black forest, uphill, downhill, fast, slow, very fast and also very slow. it made so much fun again. I took with me my camera to take some pictures, but I really forgot to make those. sorry please. hope tomorrow again there would be such nice weather like today. I was again so much surprised from the handling of this now 36 year old car that I didn´t want to stop and suddenly the sun has been away. so to all who have a BB or BBi: never sell the car. it is the really last hand made F 12 cylinder under enzo, without electronic, pure sports car and you feel the street, every bump in the street, you feel when you brake in curves how the car tries to move to the outside but it is driving like a train on rails. nearly no limit so no ABS and when you push to hard one wheel sometimes blocks but the car is still to handle very easy. I just came back and had to write this made soooooo much fun
Good post. I like how we can feel the way you love your car. I envy you ;-) These cars can do so much good things to ourself when we take time to enjoy them. Winter is here for me and Sera is sold so not for me now. But hopefully will have a 12 cyl to have my personal therapy in spring.

I was referring to the ID plate on the left side of the engine bay it will have the chassis number stamped on it. by the looks of it I think it will be a 1977-78 car. Cheers

I have a question. I've only seen two Koenig Ferrari's here in the states, and they were both gray market cars back in the early 80's. I always liked the way the intake duct work came out of the engine compartment and snorkeled above the roof. But I never got to see the engine compartment, so this is a first for me. And I'm wondering about the duct work "tail" that comes off the back of the carbs and kind of dips down before it terminates. What's the purpose of that? It seems to me like the duct work would fit around the carbs only, and anything else would be a waste of materials and effort, and frankly, to me looks kind of odd. Just curious!
Blocked-off air passages of the original air boxes. Air enters at the topside-rear of the clamshell, which is the real reason for the spoiler just behind the roof - airflow wasn't getting to the intakes at high-speed, and starving the engine. The snorkels stuck the intakes right into the airflow over the roof, but did away with the filters in the airbox.
