Looking for a 92-94 TR miles under 20K NO black cars..
Maybe you can touch base with Doug as well in your hunt. Maybe he has turned down some that will fit your criteria but not his. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/boxers-tr-m/438548-looking-very-low-mileage-512tr.html
Found one in California 1992 Used Ferrari 512TR at Sports Car Company, Inc. Serving La Jolla, IID 5431037 Asking price of $69,500. but don't know the mileage. I have also seen at least one on duPontRegistry lately. Not sure if still available.
WHOA 70k for a 512TR with "recent" belt service, Tubi, and (assuming) differential (listed as transaxle)? Sign ME up! Seriously though, it must have high miles or something.
Check out Lombardo Motorcars in Berlin, CT. They have a 92 Red / Black with 20K asking $114K. I know the shop and owner... a very reputable shop / individual. Unique and Exotic Cars - Berlin, CT Lombardo Motorcars - Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, and Sports Car Sales
When I see a car for sale with super low miles it makes me suspicious, is there a way to see if the speedo has been disconnected on a 512TR? Do the computers store data ?
No.....you cross check the miles visually with leather wear at the driver's seat bolster. if they were nimble enough to leap past that, for 20K miles, they got away with it. Mileage is little matter if you are going to use it, buy based on condition, condition, and condition. Go over it with a fine toothed comb, details don't lie
I saw the 512TR at Lombardo Motorcars.Snapped a phone pic. Car looks incredible. The location is not too far from me- I could take additional pics, video, Heck- I could even skype or facetime you and show you up close pics of the vehicle - live.. Owner of the location is truly a great guy. Good luck with your search Image Unavailable, Please Login
BLIND Foglights ...... yikes ..... It's NOT cheap imo .... and do save some money for an upgraded diff ... (1992)
those foglights are a simple cleaning. Dif is only $3500 if you can do it yourself. Cant we be a little more positive here, Mel?
LOL Tim, I was thinking the same thing took me an hour or so to clean my lens. As for the diff. this is blown out of proportion, if you can find a car that hasn't had a ton of owners and is low mileage and has good records I think you can feel fairly safe it wasn't abused. My car was a one owner, complete records and low miles the diff. was the least of my worries.
Of course Tim ! Not talking about the car its self ... But a firm, asking OVER 100.000 Dollars and then showing the car this way ... they should know better imo ... So nothing about the car was meant, but I have not much faith in the seller ...
Just saw this on ebay. 1992 Ferrari 512TR Testarossa 5 0 Liter Flat 12 Cylinder Boxer Coupe 18850 Miles | eBay
Just bought the 92 red/tan with 6k that was on DuPont registry and then in Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale. Amazing condition. Major service at the time of purchase and Ferrari classiche certification. A dream come to reality. Looks better than my 2013 458. Image Unavailable, Please Login
