I could supply chips cheaper from the uk. If any interest let me know. Might be able to get a deal if a few of us get together.

I have these exact chips in my 512TR. They DO make a difference. And make the rev limiter go "bye bye," for which I'm glad.

I connected my chip reader/burner up to one of these and archived the bits many years ago. I'm sure I have them on my server somewhere. BMW Tuner Jim Conforti went through the mapping with me, and informed me that TAP (Total Audi Performance is what that Florida outfit used to go by) knew what they were doing when they made the maps.

Please friends !!!! Explain a bit more and show us in the ECU what chip you mean Steve ... I always like to see things ...

And please supply the (phone number or) emailadres of the firm that has that expertise....

UK Nick: hello ! Can you supply the same chip, with the same programming burnt in it ?? (And make the rev limiter go "bye bye," for which I'm glad.)

Only if you can tell us more, we may be interested and tell us more about prices please ...

I am interested in these chips. Exactly where do they go? Are they somehow hooked into the ECU's or is there a chip in the ECU that we remove and replace with the new chips? Also what is an average price for 2 chips?

considering the weakness these cars have in their transmission design , I think the cost of the chips would be the last thing to worry about.....
