I know it was the Silverstone grand prix over the weekend, but driving like that isn't a good idea. The TR sounded a little weird at 0:40, and then karma took care of the rest I guess.

Well, driving that fast on a highway is not such a good idea...But as a TR owner, fast or regular, you need to get used to say: "Sh*t happens!"...
That's when an AAA card or the equivalent comes pretty handy...Ask how I know!

I think the guy was referring to passing people on the wrong side, it's a really big deal in Europe. If you get busted doing this you're in big trouble.

Was cruising down the highway when a couple of pistons kissed their respective valves because of a faulty belt...CAA card was VERY handy. That was back in 2009.
Last year I blew a coolant hose. I gave a good show but again my CAA card was pretty useful!

In the US it's necessary because of the inconsiderate morons camping in the fast lane doing 10 mph under the speed limit.

You can pass in any lane. And yes, you do have many morons doing 30 in a 40 MPH zone drving a Prius here.

Yes, but your country also enforces lane discipline for slower traffic (which is very rarely done here in the US).

In Deutschland, driving is an activity unto itself, and the Driver applies skill and attention to the process; here in the US, not so much... ;)

I give people three seconds when I come up on them, if they don't see me I pass on the RH.

Now the left lane is supposed to be a passing lane, but as others have said you get idiots that don't pay attention to speed limits so they do the same speed no matter what. Then they won't move out of the fast lane like they are special!

There are signs posted in my state that say, "Stay right except to pass".
    .......ignored mostly.

It is also illegal for trucks over 10,000 gvw to use the fast lane. That too is ignored on occasion.

....and from the look of it, blocking the passing lane so that the Testarossa had to pass him n the wrong lane. Of course, the **** then wanted to go faster himself.
