Just bought a 1989 Testarossa white on white. is there any production numbers to say how many of these they built? Thanks
No but they are rare. The only one we sold that way was to Jose Canseco. White is not terribly common even though we have one. Most white cars have beige interior and then black. Ours is dark blue.
I also have white on white TR. Let's keep in touch What area are you in? Demetri. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

i lived in nyc right after school, and was living on 23rd street. i remember going into a garage to check out what cars were there, and i saw 3 testarossas covered and lined up together. i asked the attendant, and he told me they all belonged to one guy, and he had bought one in red, one in black, and one in white, so that he would not put a lot of miles on any one of them. i was floored! so anyway, there was a white one in nyc in 1987.
You did. I guess he is looking at the market and trying for a quick buck on a flip. I hope he gets it! But I don't understand selling these beauties. I thought about replacing mine with a 550 because the wife is not that comfortable in the TR on long drives. She recently sat in a 550 and proclaimed that it wasn't a significantly better seating position. So I told her we could save money by keeping the TR!
Sadly when a car starts climbing in price you find people who buy the car because they love the return on investment, not because they love the car. I'd say we have seen a pretty clear demonstration of that in the past few months.
I spoke to jchedges (I also have 89 TR white on white) thinking we should know each other. I also was thinking he bought to resell. He in fact has a corvette restoration business and is a corvette guy. Doesn't know much about the car. He received it on trade. Let's all keep this car in mind and try to help it find a good home !
