The BEST Testarossa video ever from the greatest supercar guy who founded the greatest performance car magazine! (EVO)
nicely done, tad bit repetitive in respect to the exhaust note but for good reason! Testarossa in all configurations has a clearly defined place in collector car history soon. I feel fortunate to be a part of it.
Pretty good piece. Not filled with fluff and wives tales. Nice shot at the end with the tree lined road from the back of the car.
Thank you for posting. Really enjoyed it. Makes be want to go out and hammer before the season's over.
What is it about a british accent and a road test Well done! Did you see the umbrella holding up the front lid And that steering wheel adapter has to go. Nice video What was the car in the center stall of garage?
Two thumbs up. Reminded me a lot about my first thoughts and feelings when I picked up my TR. A subtle point is the engine noise which he correctly points out.......a glorious sound in the cabin without being overly loud outside. I think most people can't appreciate this motor without driving it for themselves.
Well spotted! I fit a steering wheel extension to all of my '70s and '80s Italian cars (apart from the Countach, which has a massive range of wheel adjustment available) but I'd like to try this one: SWS02B - 50mm Spacer by: Hill Engineering - Hill Engineering Ferrari as it allows the horn push to still work, which my current extension doesn't. Glad you enjoyed the vid!
Why smile? He's in imperial gallons as we are in Canada and I did 24mpg with my 1990 TR. Gently highway driving, I was myself VERY surprised about it. Very good video, I like how he always compare with the Countach.
Your imperial 24MPG is equal to about 20MPG US if I'm correct is my conversion and that is stellar and really takes some serious gentle, and not just gentle driving to achieve if it is correct...is Ms Daisy in your car with you? I personally don't do any detailed logging, but know I am nowhere near that and actually very far from it...but then again I do drive the car as designed (performance oriented)...flooring it on isolated straights and curves to hear the engine roar. I would have to go look at my sticker, but I think the US Federal Monroney sticker was like 11-14HWY about the same as an iconic Hummer, which was the poster child for gas guzzlers.
Yes you're correct with about 20% difference US and Imp. I was driving VERY gently most of the trip with some very short fun acceleration. I always test my new cars at least once just to know. But honnestly I was expecting 18, 20 at the very best. I'm used to that trip I did and know how much it usually cost with most cars. When I filled with super and topped it for $52 I was very surprised so I made sure it was full. And YEP! 24 mpg. Better than my carbed 308.
