I'm having a hard time telling this one apart from a real Testarossa! http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=321613160740&alt=web
How many "Ferrari", shields, etc.. are on that cars? I guess it makes sense to have that many just in case people wondered if it's the real thing right?
I love the "not ONE imperfection or flaw to this Ferrari Licensed & Certified Testarossa Kit Car!!". Ferrari licensed... Miami Vice wasn't allowed to use a fake Daytona but this guy did get Enzo's blessing. It must be more valuable than the Special Project Ferraris, what a deal!
Poor Fiero! Such a shame to do this to one. In years to come when there's hardly any original ones left they will realise wot a waste it was. Always loved them stock. When I was 19 and dreamed of Testarossa's and Countach's a Fiero was the nearest I could get. They're like a mini exotic as they are - they've got the looks, sound and cabin and layout of a super car and are great fun to drive - just the slight issue of 140 bhp lol - though the early manual V6's had enough torque and short enough gearing to be fun still. The brakes were scary bad though! Save the Fiero! Dom.
LOL! That is a great one. The side louvers are a new one on me. I could think of so many other cars I could spend $35K on, a lot more. However, to each his own.
I think that is where this replica fails, there are not enough ... seriously. Have you noticed how Ferrari and the horsey are plastered everywhere on a real Ferrari ... almost embarrassing. Pete
Well, IMO this is nothing like a Testarossa. BUT......... Whoever did this car seems to have done a very good engineering job to me and he should be proud of what he has achieved with a kit. I give him 10 out of 10 for effort. His advert words like "certified" spoils what could be a good sale to someone that can't afford the real thing but always wanted one. In this instance I think we should applaud the effort made, i think he did well. IMO Phil
Dan I agree completely with you but if there was no such thing as a Testarossa then this is a really good attempt at a sports car from a kit. Its certainly not Ferrari in any way but he has at least made a drivable car that is complete. Many kit cars look so bad due to only being half finished whatever that are trying to represent. I still give 10 out of 10 for effort but testa it is not at all. P
Well I think this one is much cuter! They did the side strakes much more realistically - although there`s no Testarossa claim to fame here! 86 Fiero Dom
Hang on second! First you say: But then you add: So basically you're saying that this would be a great buy for someone who has always wanted a Testarossa but can't afford one and has no idea what one actually looks like - Yes?
Wow - Usually, these things don't really resemble much of the underlying Fiero any more. This one barely looks any different.
I'm telling ya, with the amount of phoney conventions, one day Fiero's are going to be rarer and worth more than TRs. Wouldn't surprises me if some convert their TRs into Fiero's some day.
LOL I actually thought the same thing - it looks more like a 348 than a Testarossa. Maybe they're saying Testarossa for the greater name recognition?
Ferraristi, $35,000.00? Wait, I thought you could buy a real Testarossa for that much. So many on this board used to say that. ...well, NO ONE IS SAYING THAT NOW! HA! lol Oh, you can call FNA, provide the contact information and they will go after the owner for copyright infringement. They usually try to confiscate the car and crush it. Shamile Freeze....Miami Vice!
