I posted this same query in the vintage section, but thought I also should try here. I just picked up a bunch of old tools, and the seller of the collection swore this USAG wrench was a Ferrari factory/scuderia tool, though he couldn't say how old it is. It's in great shape, but I checked with USAG's catalog, and it's a long-inactive part number. It appears to be a 15mm cylinder head wrench, going by appearances. Any thoughts what this would have been used for (or, frankly, what it's worth)? Many thanks.

    15 mm ???
and then also as a bihexagonal tool, very rare and not a common daily used size
I know a lot of F types but don´t know any 15 mm nut or screw

I see in the actual USAG tool catalog that those tools also in different sizes are still available
the code number now is 291113, the article number is 291N

so I think that is no F tool, or?

So it turns out USAG DOES make a chrome modern version, but not in this vintage finish anymore. I know the 308 uses 15mm cylinder head fastener; figured that could be a Ferrari standard size, and maybe this was from that era. Supposedly they DID make the factory tools at least in the 70s.

15mm is the (oddball) size of some F cylinder head stud acorn nuts -- so not surprising that it's associated with a prior F life (but don't know if it is an "official" F tool or not -- the "official" 15mm tools tend to be much more weirdly shaped ;)).

cylinder head nuts have 15 mm, right, but how can you use a torque wrench with this tool?

I thought that was what the side hole was for. Isn't there some sort of auxiliary small bar that threads through to form a t-handle, like the small factory carb wrenches? Obviously, I'm missing it, but...

It is not a Ferrari tool.

USAG made many Ferrari tools but that is not one.
