After the recent auction results, can we assume a price of 350k+ for good running condition boxers ?
I would not sell mine for any less... I would say based on the auction sales and the few private sales I am aware of, yes. $350k is a good assumption. Mike
My 512 BB was purchased in 2011 for $80,000. After about $40,000 in maintenance I purchased the car last fall for $285,000. In today's market that price seems like a bargain.
there are no bargains left. i have done a little round of the usual sites i look at in the uk, germany, italy, france, switzerland etc. all bb's now at 300k+ and you know that at least 50% of them need everything. i think the only way you might get a deal is if you happen to be at an auction and nobody wants it that day.
We will soon be back to end eighties prices. The previous owner for my BBi paid 1000k Deutsch Mark for it. So that's €500k. That should be its price again...
We have a very nice BB here for sale ...at around KE 320 .... If interested mail me: [email protected]
In ~May-June 2013 there were some BBs in Italy for around 100K Euro; with all the austerity measures and the new car taxes for large engine sizes there were a lot of Italians selling cars and deals could have been had. I chatted with the company selling one of these and was close to taking it further but I could not get past the language barrier before getting on a plane and going to see it.
Oh, I see now that the post included Autosport Design in the title... I didn't see it! In looking at the pics I can see where it looks like the paint has needs, but otherwise a very well preserved example! They are only original once, so I always give a bit of a nod to original cars. That being said to make it usable it would probably benefit from a freshening up! Wonder if it sold? Thanks.
