    At last I can post what I have been dying to post for a month, as my GQ article is about to appear. I purchased a F512M last month: 18,000 km, Recaro seats, luggage set, one previous owner, from a fine gentleman collector in Spain.
    Car is en route back to the UK as we speak.
    Pix taken at Ferrari Barcelona where it had its PPI (perfect, nothing to do). Please excuse my presence in one of them, the only front 3/4 view I have of the car at the moment.
    Extremely excited and looking forward to driving it back to back with the Testarossa once the weather cheers up.

    Those seats are outrageous...

    What % of cars in GB are left hand drive..
    What % of those drivers have trouble negotiating Left side of the road..

    Geeze that would mix me up..when I am passing trucks on 2 lane hwy.
    A peek into oncoming could kill you...

    Perhaps a forward camera mounted on right side mirror

    Michael, you make a very interesting point. I was brought up driving (initially as a passenger..) in a RHD car on the continent. Subsequently I brought over and owned a couple of LHD Porsches in the UK. For my magazine car reviews I drive a lot of RHD supercars in continental Europe, and now I have this 512M LHD in the UK.
    In general...If you are driving down narrow country lanes every day and nothing else, LHD is a hindrance for sure in the UK. On sweeping A Roads (I guess, straight 2 lane highways is the US terminology) it's less of a problem as you can hang back and see a long way ahead. On highways with 4+ lanes and a central divide it's no issue. In town it's better as you exit kerbside. And supercars are fun to drive in town depending on what and where...
    My driving for fun is typically a mix of all of the above. And sadly not enough country lanes.
    But I will report back when I have the car here..

    The seats are outrageous for sure. They look very similar to the seats in the F50 the vendor also owns. I'll try and post pix of both..
    I imagine they are not ultra comfortable but I didn't buy this car for its cruising ability!

    I had some rhd cars and got used to it..but a 2 meter wide lhd TR in London...uuhhh.
    Fine it wasn't a single mirror:)

    Fabulous looking 512m Darius, and i absolutely love the seats .... really gives the car some edge!

    Ferrari offered these seats as an option???
    They were installed by dealer or came with car?

    These were an option offered by the factory at the time .... here's a RHD version with the same seat option.

    Wow, so much for a starter Ferrari hahaha. Now that you have both the M and a TR, can you comment on the headroom offered by the Recaro seats. Many of us are long in the torso and would like a seating option that gives us more headroom.

    Congrats on the purchase, sending some sunny weather your way!
