Does any one have any experience with or are using one of these 2.5 turn quick steering racks from the UK? I'm running 245/45x17 tires on the front. Any input greatly appreciated. John

I do in 308's with 16x7's up front and it transforms the car - its how it should've been from the factory in my opinion. I plan to do the same to boxers.

    Paul,
    what you understand under 16 x 7 ?
    16 " diameter and 7 " wide?
in europe we always say first the width and then the diameter, that is why I ask.

I was not aware of these until this thread. I'll be looking into this a little more, though the steering effort at parking speed will be even worse - I've already felt like something in the steering wheel/dash support was going to break if the car wasn't rolling just a little bit.

Thanks to all for their input. I'm planning on going ahead w/ the purchase of this rack. With my new front and rear BFG g-force comp2 tires...I'm anticpating even more fun behind the wheel!!! Looks like I'll be getting the Boxer on the road by 5/02. Still waiting for some good rains to wash all the salt and now the brine that they use off the roads up here in Vermont...John

PS...Also waiting for my new BB512i ring to be completed by Adam in Ontario. I'll post pix in about 3 weeks after receipt. Feeling like a kid anticipating Christmas!!!

You do realise that the next weak link in the chain is the seats right? With all thta grip you are going to be sliding about the cabin.

Vey interested to hear how you find the quick rack in a boxer.

Yas...I realize that, since I've been sliding around in the interior for years on the track w/ the standard parts. Another bit has been hitting the seatbelt release w/ my right elbow going thru the gears, which has led to some "interesting" situations...John

better married with a nice car than with a bad woman :)
also if you get divorced with the car you get money, divorced with a woman it costs money :)
