I think its pretty darn cool, the price is a stretch. I LOOOVE the Pinin, they are only asking $795k for it. Seems like a bargain in today's market. Maybe Jim G. can buy the Pinin and keep it with the Dino Comp and the Modulo! That would be awesome.
Yes 1980 Ferrari Pinin for sale #1749441 | Hemmings Motor News http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/dealer/ferrari/330gt/1749444.html http://www.maranellopurosangue.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=18&virtuemart_category_id=2&Itemid=183&lang=en
Would have been very dangerous to drive even at the Salt Flats. I have seen a few land speed record cars with windshields as oblique as that and they are impossible to see through. I saw one a few years ago run and it left the course because he couldn't see. Tore off across open country and when he figured it out and stopped the safety people told him to load it back on the truck.
That Pinin is a cool car - awesome interior. Reminds me of a Zagato design (think Aston Martin), even though it's Pininfarina.
Colani certainly thought "outside the box". Never heard of it before. If it really had run and gone 350 I would have expected it to be well known.
very cool car. the sellers have spent considerable time and money to make the 365bb engine functional and make the pinnin a drivable car...too bad the windows don't work
