I had trouble with my AC condensor fans (in the nose of the car) blowing the fuse after a few minutes of operation. Here in Florida these fans get a lot of work and 20+ years is all you can expect, so I set off on yet another Ferrari adventure to find and replace the fans.

First, go to SPALUSA.com and purchase two of the exact replacement fans, PN 30100394 (Description VA14-AP11/C-34A*7.5"S/12V, which translates to 7.5", sealed, 12V, low profile, puller fan). Cost is $91.46 each plus shipping. Or call 1-800-454-7725.

After the fans arrive, you can start having fun.

    First, remove the front clip.
Remove the vented panels in front of each wheel (10mm bolts), then reach in and disconnect the marker light connector.
Remove the 10mm bolts under each side of the rear fender, and then remove the 8 17mm nuts, spacers and washers on the front of the clip (raise hood and look down).

Next, pull front clip forward a few inches and disconnect fog light harnesses. Slide whole clip forward off rear positioning bolts and remove from car.
Now is a great time to clean up the battery compartment and service the horns and windshield washer pump and reservoir as well as the fog lamps and chin spoiler on the front clip. Also a good time to hook up a remote radar detector.

Now remove the 4 10mm long bolts that fasten the AC condensor shroud and also the fan shroud. Watch out for falling tiny washers. Remove shroud.
Drill out rivet holding passenger side lower AC condensor bracket and pull that side of AC condensor forward enough to remove fan shroud and fans. Disconnect fans from wiring harness and remove shroud and fans.

Remove old fans from original bracket. Remove new fans from new bracket. Install new fans in original bracket.
Cut original electrical connectors from original fans and graft onto new fans.

I should have mentioned before that, while the fans made today are identical to originals, the double fan bracket no longer exists, and the electrical connectors are different. Both the original double fan bracket and the original connectors need to be salvaged and re-used.

Simply now reverse the above process to install fans, re-riveting the AC condensor bracket on the way (this takes a good sized rivet - a fine excuse to buy a new tool). Once the fans are hooked up (before re-riveting, etc) make sure they work (run AC on high with vehicle stationary).

Good luck, I hope this helps.

Now take the circlips off each fan front and the plastic fan will pull off of the motor. Its pressed on the motor shaft.

Next, unscrew the motor from the shroud and you should be ready to go.

Are you getting new fans? Any upgrades?
