Finished 512 TR Third Brake Light LED Conversion

    I made an update to my LED conversion blog article today.

    My tiny LEDs for the third brake light finally arrived, and so I took photos as I installed them.

    Attached pics show:

    - the original T5 bulbs in the third light housing

    - the new mini 3-emitter LEDs installed

    - testing the polarity of the new bulbs before re-attaching the housing

    - bulbs lighting up the housing before reinstalling into the rear deck lid.

    Thanks for the detailed write up Steve. Another thing to add to my list of things to do when I have some time.

    I did try the starter fix - but I need to find a hot day to verify the fix.

    Thanks, but nope. I'm all set. Just return them to Amazon and use "did not fit applicaton" as the reason. You don't have to pay for return shipping.

    Todd: You asking about the third brake light, or all of them? On my blog post, all the photos show the LEDs installed on the right side, the standard bulbs on the left. I even have a video there showing the difference in the flashers.

    Which ones did you get? Please do a pic of them (output against a garage or off in the distance to see what the difference is between the sides)

    Argh.....Steve.....the small leds that go into the side marker lights (yellow front, red rear) are wrong too. They are too big and stick out too far so the housing will not close.

    Edit the blog one more time.
