I was wondering what the stats look like as far as mileage goes for our cars. Like, what is average miles? High miles, etc... I am almost at 79,000 miles in my '86.
my competition ( is it still and testarossa? ) has now about 25.000 km, but was standing the last 10 years with may be driving 300 km because of fixing first the gearbox, then the update from the ignition and injection, now the adjusting of the map controlled ECU. so this year I was driving more km than the last 10 years because for testing and testing and ....... hopefully I will finish end of this year?
Mine has roughly the equivalent of 11,500 miles on her. I've put 500 on my self in about 8 months. Mine too had been parked up by the last two owners for a long time.
300 a year? 500 a year? what's wrong with you guys! I'm clocking 1500 on a bad year and 4000 in a good one! Get out there and drive!
I had a busy summer this year and I drove mine less than last year. I plan to go to Montebello which will be a long trrip but not sure yet if I will trailer it or not.
Same here, Im dong about 1,000 a year. But im out of town about half the time so my numbers are a little biased. Currently at about 14,300.
I get in 2,000kms per car per year which is not bad considering we have snow/rain 7 months of the year and only 4-5 months of decent driving weather.
102K miles . Biggest year - almost 10K miles. Lowest year - zero (the second gearbox rebuild). Near 3K this year already...
Awesome The Testarossa would be so tempting to use as an everyday car. When I go somewhere in a daily driver, I get out thinking it would have been just as easy to drive the Testarossa there - and I could have had so much more fun instead of spending an hour of my life in a boring car. It doesn't even have to be a journey with an amazing open road - even sitting in a traffic queue in the Testarossa is more fun! Unforunately like Big Red, my country has absolutely dismal weather for most of the year, so if I used it all year round, it would quickly disintegrate into a pile of iron filings! So about 2-3k miles a year for me, which seems to be it's average throughout it's life with just under 65,000 miles on the clock. If I had to go on a 1000 mile trip somewhere though, I wouldn't hessitate to take it - and would feel just as confident about getting there as I would in a brand newcar. Keep drivng! Dom.
I don´t drive my TR and also by BB not so much. I work on those cars and make so many testdrives that I only take one of my cars out when there is nice weather and I have a clear head - so no problems with other cars or with customers or with the government
I've put over 10,000 miles on my car since buying it two years ago, bringing the total up to 49,000. Those are the best 10,000 miles of my life.
37,000 miles averages to about 1400 per year. I drive it every other weekend, alternating with the 360 The car has been extremely reliable and a thrill to drive. Sent via itty bitty electrons
