Hello, I have noticed some 512TR have a black engine cover instead of red. If the car is red the engine cover is black and some cars in body colour ? Any reason or model differences.
I believe the very last models (1994) might have had the body color engine cover instead of black. I prefer black actually.
Just evolution - early cars had black w/Testrossa badge = 92, all black = 93/94, mid-late 94 had body cover and possibly body color sides. Some owners painted their covers body color over the years from what I have seen and think it looks better. I had thought about painting mine and the front lip a few years ago, but never got around to it. I did do a carbon wrap on the lip spoiler though.
