Could be crap, could be true. For some 120k is like the average joe buying a chocolate bar, no big deal.

People buy purses and hand bags that cost more then this.

No, women buy purses and handbags that cost more than this. No man would pay that much for a luggage set. A watch, car, or boat, yes, but not luggage.

Or maybe there is a 1%'er female out there who is happy that she finally got the luggage to match her TR. Or hubby bought it as payback for all those Amex charges for her accessories!

BS, shill or stunt, no way the market has moved that much on Schedoni.

Maybe that's right. It's a crazy amount of money for luggage. The 308/328 set is going for over $10,000 for a pristine tan set. This is, what is claimed to be, the only black set for a Testarossa. Does anyone else know of a black set existing out there?

Well, one thing is sure: the set is still available for 118.000 euros right at the minute on E-Bay Germany: go to Elektronik, Autos, Mode, Sammlerstücke, Gutscheine und mehr Online-Shopping | eBay, type "Schedoni" and here it is. But perhaps they have more than one for sale?

    Guys,

A "," in a number in Europe separates "Euros" from "Cents."

€1,20 is "one Euro and 20 cents."

True... decimal points and commas are used opposite to the US norm.
That said however, the info shows:

Well known that the liner material disintegrates. Both sets of mine are doing the same. Even Simone Schedoni admits it was a problem.

it was probably not Schedoni`s fault alone ...

yub, here is what he says:

"Regarding the inside part, at that time Ferrari wanted us to use a lining which had a percentage of rubber in order to allow the clients to clean the internal part of the suitcases. As any product made with natural rubber, after more than 20 years the rubber starts to “deteriorate” and there’s not too much to be done…

Taking off the lining and apply a new lining (cloth), would be quite expensive…

In case of any question, please do not hesitate to contact me.

    Many thanks and Best Regards,

    Mr. Simone Schedoni

I've seen a black set being sold just last year in an auction in France for around $5000 from memory.

I'm picking up black luggage piece by piece as I see them getting advertised (if at a fair price) to get a set together. It's taking ages as they don't come up that often.

Yes, there were a number of black sets made, and one or the other pops up for sale from time to time here or there. The claim that this one is "the only one ever made" is one of those many absurd claims that are been made about anything Ferrari ("I have the last of this", "the first of that" "the only one in that color") and never substantiated by reliable sources, if by any.

Matching different pieces to obtain a black set is easier than doing the same with Tan: as there are many "tan" variations in color and hue, usually the fact that it not an original complete set will show...

But the Q is imo: do you ever use it really ? :)

I do not see it as an "investment" ... do you ?

(Photo is just a set, not mine ...)
