Did Pinin offer a conversion..for tr

PF made only one "official" spyder, after Ricard Straman of Costa Mesa, CA produced the famous black spyder for the Pepsi/Michael Jackson Commercial. Straman went on to do about 26 TRs. The Oficial PF Spyder was for Fiat Chairman Agneli. Several other firms also converted
TR spyders.
As was frequently done, PF secretly produced about a dozen TR spyders for Prince Jafre of Brunai. That collection was broken up a number of years ago and those spyders have been marketed and seen in SE Asia, New Zealand, etc.
The Spyder takes the TR to a Glorious level - that Enzo must have lusted to enjoy more than the one time!!!

Yes they did, but all were RHD and made for the Sultan of Brunei. They were not official Ferrari conversions, but Pinin made them for Sultan anyway.

 

Ferrari at one time had a small staff whose job was to dream up and pitch to the Sultan special cars, so yes it was Ferrari doing it in his case.

 

I've seen that TR before (it's a regular at Bella Italia)...it's a conversion done by Straman. Hence the plate, TR * SS (Straman Spider).

 

in the article he mentioned it has a shorter windscreen. Is that true? I thought the windscreen on a Straman Spider conversion used the original glass.

 

Didn't Straman also offer a Targa conversion for the TR?
