512TR crank sensors

    Is it possible to change the two crank sensors on a 512TR with engine in car.....had a look , but not sure...

    on a 512TR I never changed them, but I think it is the same as the TR and so no problem.
    but be careful that you use the right ones in the right hole, one is longer than the other

    just looking at the replacement sensors and they both look identical...so not sure if this is correct...

    They are identical to each other on a 512TR, testarossa is completely different. They are a 3 wire (shielded) VR sensor and yes you can change them in the car.

    oh, sorry for the wrong information from me because of the different types of sensors
    I thaught only to my testarossa

    just one more piece of advice please...is it best to work on changing the sensors from above the car or from under it... if from above it looks like i would have to remove the engine cover and the small panel next to rear screen, which in my relatively small garage would be tricky, but possible !

    They are not difficult to exchange if the car is on a lift system.
