I was just searching ebay and came across several TR Steering Column Covers with the Vin Number. I am assuming these are all cars that were parted out for any number of reasons . Anyway here are the last five of the Vins that were up at this time

    67607
    69007
    89198
    97599 (I'm thinking this is a 512TR)

That's interesting and a bit disturbing that these column covers would be for sale. The 512TR cars started at serial number 89100.

Mine is a 91 Testarossa , 90048 I guess a few were built side by side. I saw a 1990 for sale with the original window sticker around 162K, my window sticker is for 179,500 so they went up 17K ? , mine wasn't sold new until May 92 at s steep discount from sticker. Just some interesting observations.

The Ferrari/collector car market bubble popped in 1990. I remember seeing a new 1992 Ferrari 348ts still on the showroom floor at a dealer in 1995.

    Sorry for hijacking the thread.

Well, the 348s sucked - maybe it wasn't just the Japanese financial crisis. :)

as you know there are more vin locations than just the column and even if you destroy the other vin locations its going to be a hard story to sell on why/how that happened and why they are not there. If one is going to go that route it's far easier to just 3D print a new column vin tag than invest the work to replace the entire column

Can anyone list some uncommon spots the VIN is located? We all know the steering column and door jam.. Just for my future reference.

...and I think those are the only places (at least that I have found). Oh wait, one more...first page of your warranty book ;)

BTW, there is also an assembly number in a few places and a Pininfarina coachwork number stamped on many of the removable parts...
