+1 - "amazing" is an apt (and repeated) description for good reason: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/boxers-tr-m/504552-wow-looks-amazing-2.html I'll put this modification in the "good" category that adds $ value
For the same reason supermodels wear eyeshadow - it looks great! (It's got the same treatment on the front bonnet near the windscreen and the door top edges, and I think the seat are a dark blue too)
Oh totally different mirrors but not sure if they actually stick out further. Maybe the A-pillar has more taper towards the center. Or the roofline is lower. IDK but something is different about them. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It would have been a good idea if they had parked it next to a normal Testarossa to see the differences.
Mystery solved. The base is different which would likely prevent the mirrors from folding in but why? Hmmmmm Image Unavailable, Please Login
They look like left and right flying mirrors mounted on new armature.. Yeah..thats what it is.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I would say that given the location of the A-pillar vertical supports, the mirrors are extended to allow an unobstructed view. It looks like the vertical supports might obstruct the view using the standard mirrors.
That's a good observation and sounds reasonable. Could it be that this car was put together before the twin mirror version was even available?
It's an '86... I read that it has both manual and auto transmission selectable by pushbutton. Anybody know anything about that?
Seeing that this car is an 86', They did not have the conventional mirrors yet..these are fly mirror style. https://www.yahoo.com/news/ferraris-unique-testarossa-spider-1m-auction-154651674.html?ref=gs
Beautiful car. Was the button on the left arm of the steering wheel a horn button? Or could it have been "the" original tiptronic/steering wheel based, shift prototype? Either way, I love the vents but not a fan of the lower blue stripe
This system was made for Gianni Agneli, apparently he had a bad knee, making the use of the clutch difficult.
I'll agree with some of that. Removing the C-pillar buttresses from a TR, or a 308, is a bit of removing the best feature, but, for the task given, that design is amazingly good-looking and well-integrated IMO. Would love to see the some of the sketches/options PF went thru to arrive there...
Never noticed the black around the front of the front window on the hood. Not sure about that feature. Too bad they didn't go into production with it. I would have loved to have a spider TR.
