    Dear Members of the Forum

Im new to the Forum but read a lot here for Information.

I got Hands on 3 Cars for 25 Years in an Old dry Garage .

A 330GT2+2 an 328GTB with 18.000 KM (because were in Europe)
The Cars look quite good and i Have many Information of the Two.

But I got almost NONE Information about the 512 BB .
Looks like Competizione 37.000 ml Origin UK LHD
Vin number matches on one the first LHD 512BB Buildt.

But has (regarding to the Papers)100HP more .
There are Original Papers from Maranello .
Maybe One of you knows something about a similar Car ?
I found only 3 Race Cars Comp. but nothing else.
I post here Pictures so that you know how it Looks.

The car is RHD of course.

A search of s/n 19885 reveals it was the 1977 Motorfair car (may actually have been the '76 Motor Show car?) and was originally coloured in a light metallic blue, Azurro Metallizato/VM3234 to be exact, info which was posted by Marcel Massini.

This is not an original Competizione car but a standard carbururettor 512BB road which has some apparent minor modifications.

It was featured in a few magazines such as Autocar and Car with the registration number OPC 86R. Also pictured in Mel Nichols' Boxer book.

Later painted red and registered JHW 3 in the ownership of John Woodward who it's said had the Ferrari dealership which he sold to Nigel Mansell.

I got the JHW 3 registration number reference from Nathan Beehl's excellent Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer book. There is also another Boxer, a RHD BB512i s/n 40773 coloured black with what looks like a Koenig body and a twin turbo conversion referenced/pictured in Nathan's book which was registered JHW 3 so you don't confuse the two cars.

It was John Woodfield. His business was the original incarnation of Emblem Sports Cars, which exists now under different ownership.

People don't always know they should do that right away and some wont for privacy reasons. Jumping on them can drive potential members away so why not let it slide? Where he lives means nothing to me and won't stop me from helping, i'm happy to see some fresh cars and new members!

    Welcome aboard BO67!

I noticed! But they kept the stock air cleaner base (with the koenig stacks) which wouldn't work with my scoops even though they look the same on the outside. Not a fan of the flares and by the sounds of it this car needs to be restored to its former glory.

when you go in real life somewhere to a new place you also say hello to others first and introduce yourself a little or get introduced by a friend of you. so why not here the same? I think it is a minimum of deceit to do so. but may be I´m old-fashioned and times have been changed so much?

    WOOOOW
Thanks for the Help here and all the Information.

Im very sorry that i didnt get myself Introduced but i was a little overhelmed I think, finding a 512 a GT330 and an 328 GTB with such less Kilometers. It was not my Intention to bother someone or to be unfriendly. Im sorry for that.

Actually im a normal Guy working in VW AUDI PORSCHE Business Managment in Austria
The Owner of the Company had These Cars stored in an Garage we recently cleaned up and removed Parts and Stuff for our Spare Parts . At that time we found the Cars.

As I talked to the Owner he told me yeah Good Idea to look after them and i brought them to Light.
He said he bought the Cars 28-30 Years before and didnt have time to use it or do anything with them .They were on Display in the Showroom 30 Years ago as Attraction.

All the Cars drove perfectly he told me but than he stored it in Garage and had a lot of Work with building up his Company and....... so the Cars slept 25 Years in The Garage.

Thats the Story of the Cars .

For the Others that were interested i will post you an One Cloud Link were i store the Pictures of all 3 Cars.
Im going right now making Pics of the Car and Upload it .
I will post the Link as im finished.

Thanks for the History of our Car but ist very hard to believe that it was blue because everything looks Colour Matching even the old plates and everything, Doesnt look like it got painted.

Im further thankfull for Information regarding these Cars.
Ist not clear now what he want to do.
Maybe he wants to sell it all at once to One or One Dealer or Collector who is interested or Auction it or restoring it.

Here the Cloud Link for all Pictures (should work right now)

Thanks for all Help and Information you give me.
    Ist very interesting for me
    Thanks and Sorry
    Best Regards
    Oliver

The boxer has been repainted without question, hard to add flares and not paint the car. Its missing the black in the cabin vents, under the back window, down the sides of the clam opening and the red comes through too far into the black on the underside of the rear clam around the vents. The lower lip of the rear clam should also be black on one half and body colour on the other. Not a big deal because the lacquer would look like a river bed by now anyway if it was original.

Good heavens ! I remember this car, although I never actually saw it. It belonged to a customer, who told me he had sold his 512 BB to a VW dealer in Austria. This was probably 1987 since in August of that year I sold him his next Ferrari, a 330 GT 2+2 MKII.

    These are great pics, Oliver!

Thanks so much for your posts and the pics on the cloud.

Can you furnish the serial number for the Series I 330 GT?
Kerry Chesbro http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/members/14225.html, keeps the 330 GT Register 330 GT Registry and is a member here.

It's a fascinating story about your boss. Looking forward to learning more on this thread.

    Dave

Okay, so from the chassis plate, it looks like the 330 is #6215. No info on the Registry so I'm sure Kerry will be delighted to see this.
