Well, the time has come for a major service and a great opportunity to do some overall restoration. I'm also restoring all suspension and brakes to as an original finish as I can.

I would appreciate any tips and advice regarding engine removal- it appears to be pretty straightforward, but I am sure there is a best approach.

What is the best option for dealing with the AC and the R12?
Should I try and pump the system 1st and then try to recharge it? Are there any reasonable refrigerant replacement options. I know the R12 is basically the most efficient and does seem to give me a "hint" of cool air when all the ducks are lined up correctly. It would be nice to at least maintain a pretence at being an AC unit.....

Again thanks in advance for any input

If you can suck out and save and filter the R-12. Replace the dryer also.
