A Canadian model TR is for sale on ebay in Florida. For those who DON'T want the mouse track belts here is one. 1991 Ferrari Testarossa | eBay And BTW one of only 26 built for Canadian market in 91.
Canadian cars are in kilometers. Translate to around 24,000 miles. Enlarge the pic and you will see the KM under it. And the speedo goes to 320 not 200. All in km.
This is the exact twin of my former TR. And yes it's a nice car and with the actual market price I think it is a OK deal. It probably need the engine out and also need the correct steering which may be a bit hard to find. Also a diff but that is another story.
This wasn't your car, was it Claude? I called about the car, and I'm getting the Carfax sent over now. We'll wait and see. This would be easier than sourcing from Europe, but I'd have prefer Euro spec for the performance bump... Edit: Reasons for cheapness: Car has no maintenance records associated with it, and will definitely need a major. Car runs.
No Matt not my car. Mine was 86865 sold to a Toronto collector. My car also had almost no record but visual inspection showed to be a very nice car. I was able to speak to all the previous owners since new. Compression and leak down were also correct. That car didn't gave me any trouble. But I did the diff before driving any miles as preventive repair but case wasn't cracked.
I think I recall this car from a Fchat member some years ago. He was a Canadian but the car was in the US and was looking to sell it. Not too many yellow Canadian cars around.
I looked in my TR registry and this is not the car I thought. The one I thought is 87014 and this one is 87015. Both yellow and Canadians. But stangely this car is a 1991 and my 86865 was a 1990. Mine was built october 1990. Canadian dealer back then was high on Yelllow TRs.
Mel, also take a look at what that drive would be. Florida to BC Canada is a very long drive, over 5000km.
I think the plan is as follows: -Get the information I need -Get a PPI -If the PPI is good, fly to see the car (with all the arrangements to take it home having been made) -Ship to dealership, install Forza diff and do belt service. -Ship to me
