512M rear spoiler

Can anyone tell me the origin of this rear spoiler? Was it a one-of-a-kind, or was it manufactured somewhere?
Do any still exist?

Poor design
It lifts with lid.

So much mass sits above fender flanks.
Its bound to shimmy shake

Hamann was the only tuner of the 90's to trim out the 512m in a spoiler. Even then, it was low profile and didn't take away that much from the TR shape. I'm quite sure the Hamann spoiler wouldn't rip apart at Autobahn speeds. Nothing is worse than outfitting your car in a crappy spoiler that is not functional and survivable at 100MPH+, and the M is almost a 200mph car.

In regards to the M's, suggestion: Don't touch them. Leave them alone.

Not my cup of tea, but, on the scale of 1-to-horrible, I'd give it a "meh" (and deduct if I was a Buyer). The leading edge on the end winglets being slightly concave and "swoopy" clashes some in my eye with all the curves on the coachwork being slightly convex (ignoring the wheel well openings).

It lifts with lid? It seems to ride on the rear fenders, does it attach to the underside of the engine cover? That would be a crappy design.

Better IMO to just drill a few big holes in the fenders, drive up a a couple of 1/2" bolts, rough up the paint to get a good gripping surface and glue the whole thing down....

OK, that was for Shamile. I'm sure I just heard him scream.

Bawhahaha!

You sure got me! I'm picturing drilled holes in ultra rare body panels and paint to match. I'm like noooooo! lol
