Hi Guys, Just got my TR back, its a bit rough at idle and it was recommended i adjust it as well as the fuel mixture as car is a bit rich: any tips on how to go about it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
then disconnect the lambda sensors and check the exhaust gas for HC before the cats each side and adjust so that the HC is just in the point with the minimum value. you need a 3 mm allen key but turn the screw only a very little bit, it is very diffizil normaly the CO then is between 1 and 3 %
Dont you need to take out some cover on the metering units to get to the mixture screws? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Really? How do you get it off? I tried unscrewing inside the ring and nothing moved so I stopped. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The mixture adjustment will only affect how the car runs during cold start and cold run. Once the oxygen sensors heat up and come online, the fuel injection system goes into closed loop mode. Then the fuel mixture is solely controlled by the lambda system and any adjustment you make will make no difference to the way the car runs. If the idle is rough at operating temperature, then there is some other cause.
exactly this small screw you have to remove. often it is very hard, so use a very good srewdriver. once the screw head is damaged you have really great problem to move/machine it out then right brian, but if the main adjustment is not ok then the oxygen sensors have to work out if their range what they can not do
