We noticed a terrible noise when blipping the throttle lightly. Hopefully this does not end up being a major issue. Right now it sounds like the oil pump chain. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-h0ejzJgkR4&feature=youtu.be

We are trying to locate the source of the noise right now. Lifters have been removed and inspected, Clutch removed and inspected, and all bearings inspected. Now we are setting up the motor on a stand with the oil pan removed to inspect the rotating assembly. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The noise ended up being in the throttle plates. With the throttles removed from the engine we cannot reproduce the noise again but know the source. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aMBnOzci7E&list=UUfXu0SFbT4oUfKa0lilOXow&index=1&feature=plcp[/ame]
We found that 2 cylinders had leakage of over 20% during the original compression/leak down test. The owner decided to rebuild the cylinder heads with OEM steel guides. This is a common F355 issue we feel is caused by driving with cracked exhaust manifolds. Eventually oil consumption increases and smoke dumps out of the exhaust under acceleration. Cylinder heads removed. The black exhaust ports are the same cylinders with bad leak down. We had a pressure test plate custom made for the F355 cylinder heads. The rubber plate closes the coolant holes in the cylinder head. Image Unavailable, Please Login
