    Any one here know what a ZF 5 speed tranny with the numbers S5-24-2 was installed in and or possible value? Thanks Mark

    I will post them in the morning; all I know is it kinda looks like a Maserati shift knob and the case has a "faceted look" like a diamond and a long tail shaft and black shifter knob mushroom shaped about four inches tall.

    Pantera would have axle shafts sticking out the sides (transaxle).

    Drums look like Alfa to me, the number on the tape looks like alfa too. I am pretty sure that ZF goes to Maserati, the ZF S524/3 is used on the Khamsin. Could be Aston Martin and Iso's as they all shared similar ZF's. The dimond patteren is diffrent?

    The Aston Martin guys pay the most money for them as thier parts are way overpriced. If it is used on AM just tell them it has provenance and they will open thier check book and let you fill in the blank!

    I think the Bora and Pantera crowd use the ZF 5 DS-25/2

    Alfa 2000 type 102 & 2600 type 106.

    (indeed was looking for a ZF gearbox like yours - have you got it yet ?)
