Here are some pics of my TVR. It has a 3rd Stromberg. I enjoy it more in the twisties than my Lotus Elan 2 plus 2. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The TVR 2500M used a TR6 engine. They were available from 1972-1977. The 2500M was preceded by the Vixen (1967-1973). The Vixen utilized a Ford engine. The V8 variant of the Vixen was called the Tuscan. The TVR 3000M used a Ford Essex V6 engine.
Actually TVR also made the Vixen with a TR6 engine called 2500 Vixen and it was a transitional car with an M chassis and Vixen body. I've been a TVR person for over 40 years and have had my 1969 Vixen S2 for over 32 years. I put a 2.0 liter ford SOHC which puts out 170 hp. It is more fun than any car on a very tight road. Very nice looking TVRs. Look forward to getting mine completed, going to be a little while though. Image Unavailable, Please Login
looks like a 400 Griffith. A friend has a 200 Griffith and another has an original Tuscan V8 - one of 27 built. Bunch of us all grew up 10 minutes from where they were imported to the US - Halesite NY on Long Island. We would ride out bicycles to the dealership. I have a sentiment for TVRs, but I may be selling mine, as I never drive it anymore.
