That D Type looks like a lot of fun, especially if it would be event eligible. Does anybody know what that blue car in the window is? It looks like an early Ferrari but I didn't see it listed anywhere in their inventory. Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is what I'm seeing, 166, especially because of the roofline, but I could be wrong or that roof could be a car behind the nose of a different car. Hard to tell through the glare but I figured somebody would know. Sorry to derail the thread. Image Unavailable, Please Login
oh wow...I have my classes on now...I was not even close. I am just now seeing the roof I hate getting old.
Quite right, in absolute terms they shouldn't. Old ones may get more expensive because new ones do. This particular car though, nice as it is, even has the wrong engine for a D, and at that asking price... Best, Jack.
I had a Lynx XKSS in earlier times. It was a very well thought out machine, but I did remember wishing they had used live rear axles instead of E-type rear components, if only to make the cars that much more true to original specs. IMHO, these are in a different category from a Tempero or other fiberglass replica, and deserving of the markup.
I agree with comments that this repro should have a live axle. If not,I am suprised,as Lynx replicas are,as far as I am concerned,as good as it gets. I would love to own that Ecosse 'D'. Did you see how much the original sold for recently?...As for the blue car in the windfow, my guess is it is a Pegasso (spanish)
