Jaguar F Type - R // HRE Bronze P104 // TAG Motorsports

The Jaguar F-type R has been an elusive creature in the aftermarket world to date. Upon meeting our client, we knew that together we were going to change that history. To our knowledge no one had built a proper set of forged wheels for this particular application. What better place to start than with the HRE and TAG team's collaboration.

Due to the fact that nothing has really been fitted to the car, we wanted to ensure a nice aggressive fitment without causing any drive-ability issues. At that moment we had our friends from the trusted team at HRE wheels come to take some measurements. This would ensure that this custom build would be perfect. After some discussing of sizing, and finishes the decision was reached. A 20x9" and 20x11" Satin Bronze P104 set was put into the works. This set was built to retain the factory tires, while still giving the aggressive stance that this car was begging for. The wheels were in development right away.

During that down time we knew what needed to be done to complete the look of this amazing car. After some research the conclusion to the perfect drop was clear. We ordered a set of H and R sport springs to achieve a perfect 1.3" drop front and rear.

After a shorter than normal lead time (especially for a newly engineered set of wheels) we picked the wheel set up from our neighbors at HRE. We opened the boxes, and as usual...perfection. The factory tires were removed, sensors were swapped, and they were ready for install. During the tire mounting process, we wasted no time with the suspension install. The H and R springs were an absolute breeze to install to the factory dampers.

At this point, we all awaited the moment of truth. It certainly did not disappoint. This was exactly what this car needed. An aggressive, yet elegant stance that truly sets the car off. All of us here at TAG, and HRE were ecstatic. Needless to say, the client was in love with his car all over again. That said, our goal was accomplished. We all are truly proud that we were able to be one of the first to really get our hands on this machine and transform it into a complete work of art. We sincerely hope you all feel the same.

UPDATE: We recently had the client back in the shop for the purpose of matching his Jaguar badges with the wheels. We took every badge including the “R’s” and painted them Satin Bronze. They turned out awesome and are much more subtle on the car than the previous chrome pieces.
