Of course the new one shown at Geneva is just a prototype. New Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show I haven't read enough about it yet but I can see where this would threaten Ferrari as far as Ferrari's front engine cars. We will have to wait and see how aggressive they are in pushing it as a driver's car.
Does any car really threaten another car anymore? Seems like most people just own both rival cars or buy one then sell it a short time later to purchase the other.
Looks really awesome but if the goal is to steal customers away from Ferrari then it needs be presented in a color other than green.
Im going to a showing of it before ny auto show. Aston may feel the heat but not ferrari. Its still a gt cruiser, not a sports car
Saw it in person and very beautiful despite awful photography Spoke to designer and should get chassis from new panamera which avoids the engine in front of the axle problem courtesy of old audi. Interior is pure fantasy with door panels carved solid wood in a quilted pattern and leather everything 6 painted on radiator is a must. So cool and pure bentley Awd is unique in segment. I was at a showing of the car in NYC this past weekend. I don't see it as a threat to Ferrari. I think it will fill a void that Aston Martin is missing. While Aston remains one of the most beautiful designs to ever grace the roadways, its a bit dated from a technological standpoint, particularly at its price point. This new Bentley is Aston like in appearance and beautiful in person. Add all wheel drive in the mix and what it is rumored to be a hybrid power source it could fill a niche for younger and well healed drivers who would have not considered a Bentley. Aston will release a totally new DB9 next year and a new V8 and Vanquish short after that. They raised £650m to invest in their new models and have a colleboration with Mercedes AMG so I expect them to strike back fast

Yes I heard about that. It will be called a DB11. Collaboration with Mercedes AMG so power plant and electronics will be German. That coupled with Aston design may be very interesting and well needed adjustment in the brand IMO.
Has Aston's engine & electronics technology been so lacking or couldn't they afford to advance on their own?
