I think these are great cars, but on the street they don't stand out as much as a Lambo or Ferrari.. for some people..they prefer that, but I think they would sell a lot more of they were more wild looking...

Under $200K, possibly around $180K. That's for the 570S of course, and the 540C should be cheaper. There will also supposedly be something like a 570GT, though not sure where that is supposed to fit in the line-up.

I'd have to disagree based on the people hanging their heads out of windows taking pictures ;)

In motion and among normal cars, it's equally exotic as most aside from an Aventador. Very wide, very low, etc. The front on this new one has Huracan/Aventador styled intakes... kinda.

It will probably look like a 650, which looks like a 675, which looks like a P1. I can't see it looking much different given that pattern...

I saw it yesterday in NYC and it's much less derivative of the P1 than I expected. It has much more 'WOW' factor than a Huracan or 488 imo.

A hard sell to folks who have no McLaren dealer close by. Porsche and Audi has dealers all over the place; I doubt they are worried.
In this segment, most people will not buy and service a car long distance.
P.S. My friend saw it in New York private showing and said it was just another mini rehash of the McLaren 12C.

Your friend must have had his eyes closed, it looks nothing like a 12C, at all.

He said: 'rehash'; where did it say "looks like"?

I saw it today and it is gorgeous! The only problem with the one they are showing is that it has every Carbon Fibre option available. The basic car comes with no Carbon Fibre inside or outside. With all the options, it will cost the same as a 650S.

Ok... So a rehash that doesn't mean looks like would be using the tail lights as head lights? How does rehash not mean looks like in this context? That's rhetorical, no reply necessary

I seriously doubt that, i bet plenty of carbon in and out will put it 210-220. Pricing should be available April 20 and the configurator should be ready Wednesday.

I think it'll be a GT3RS for me for a year or so and then a used 570S after the initial hit of depreciation. The R8 has no magic to me. 458 is a gem, love that car. It's a good time for car lovers

If new macca has hydraulic suspension, it will be most comfortable of.the group. Probably on a level of 991tt. Rs will be most uncomfortable. Audi might be a pleasant surprise since huracan is also better than expected. And na v10 is always something to covet these days

I doubt it that, but of course, decking an exotic out with CF is very expensive (and equally foolish.) A fully loaded Ferrari with all the CF options is also very, very expensive and far from MSRP.

I didn't make it to the unveiling, but I doubt you really need all the CF options. The 675LT looked best without the CF exterior and just painted panels IMO. I'm sure this car will look fine with only modest amounts of CF.

I'm thinking a well spec'd car will run your $210-220K.

It's true they need more dealers. 5 more will supposedly be announced soon for the US. Seattle, Denver, and a few others. Not sure what the plans are for ROW. I think they just need something like Houston, SE Michigan/Ohio, maybe another in Florida, and a couple other nice weather locations.

That said, if $210K buys you a well spec'd car -- which I should -- then that will be a lot cheaper than the 12C/650S ever was. That should make it appeal to a wider audience. There are a lot of exotics in that price range, new and used, so their current large markets should be able to support a lot of that production volume should people like the car.

If their goal is 4000 cars across all models, I think their dealership global presence can accommodate that with the lower price.
