I've been a Lotus owner for almost 10 years now. Thought about trading the Exige in for a F430 or Gallardo as I have recently wanted something "slightly" more practical. The Evora 400 has completely won me over. Guess i'm not changing brands after all.
amazing what you can do with a Camry V6 it's a shame it's taken Lotus this long to make the Evora what it should have been all along, that car could have been a hit.
Wow. Very nice. We can certainly help talk you into it! I thought long and hard about buying a used early Evora a couple of years ago, but got scared away by reading a few too many horror stories. Mostly they seemed electrical/computer in nature. Has the quality improved with the newer models?
I guess time will tell. That thing will sound absolutely wicked with a Plack exhaust. I think the exhaust in that video is stock.
I agree, the sound is epic in that clip, especially if that's a factory system. Can't imagine how good it would be to crank it up another notch. The more I look at Evoras the more I like them...styling is just spot-on and they did a remarkable job packaging four seats into a compact mid engine car.
Can anyone with legs fit in the back seat? The couple times I have looked inside of them it seemed like the back was more of a formality than anything.
I've had a 2011 Elise SC since new. It's an amazing driver's car. I absolutely love it. I recently tried Ferrari ownership with the California. I sold it (taking the massive depreciation hit so far (thanks, California T)) in anticipation of buying an Evora 400. I expect that car to be unreal.
I put a deposit on one. Should be out here in January hopefully. Exact same color as one in the video....white with black package. Here is shot of red interior I am getting: Cars: 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider (Daily Driver) Ordered 2016 Lotus Evora 400
I think it should be an interesting alternative to 911 now. Little disappointed evo coty gave it bad review though. Esp since British press always gives home team the benefit
Thats how I would spec it -- white with the black package, red interior --I would also go for back seat delete and a manual transmission -- this looks to be the evora that should have been made from the start. I've had a 2006 exige from new and I don't think I will ever sell it. Amazing to drive and dead reliable, even with a fair bit of track time. If I tire of my 2010 612 I think this is the car I would look at next (or maybe a porsche gt4, or a mclaren, or ...)

I think I've seen every single video on this car. I will save you the time. If you had to watch just one.....this would be my choice. http://youtu.be/KBF0W33efDA Cars: 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider (Daily Driver) Ordered 2016 Lotus Evora 400
I went an looked at a Caymen GT4 last weekend. I would much rather the new Evora 400 at the same price point. I think they are going to sell a lot of these.
I thought it had different Pistons, cams, etc? not to mention electronics, headers, exhaust, and so on.
Farah drove the first 400 in the US: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1pU_tfMAUY[/ame] 30% of people who test drive a Lotus buy one. Does anyone know what the numbers are for other performance marques?
That sounds wonderful! I've driven a base Evora years ago, while my Elise was in for repairs and it made me miss my Elise.... On paper I love this car, but the price hike over the Evora S is wishful thinking... Sadly many of these will probably end up sitting on dealer lots for years...
