If it were a coupe it would be what I would like to have, if I ever went back to an XKE.

Not a fan of the alloys, but really nice looking. $85,000 seems low given the E-Type market, curious where it ends up.

Interesting for sure...but upon further picture investigation...
This is not even close to restored..
    Looks like all original wiring
looks like most all rubber trim was not replaced.
suspension components are just paint with aerosol can
bolts are all original not even cleaned.
Interior leather quality is homemade stuff..
Much more stuff overlooked as well.

I was hoping it was a goody so I would bid...I'll Pass though
He had my idea of a lightweight racer look though and in green it looks great.

    SOLD $168,000.00 plus $5,000.00 Com..

I never experienced the BAT auction in the last 3 minutes...Frantic bidding..
Very Cool...Auctions are pure emotion when competing to own the car..

holy crap that is pretty much my dream E-Type. Subdued, period correct colors inside and out, no bumpers, alloys, covered headlights, and a roadster. DROOL!!!!

All I've got from my father's '62 E-Type that he restored in the late 70's is a spare set of bumpers, steering wheel, tach and cam covers.
He painted his in our garage in a dark, metallic brown with similar color leather to the BAT one. Sold it for $15k in '81 I think. Wonder where it is now... probably re-(over) restored with lipstick red or bright BRG paint and worth 10x as much. :(

Mike Gregory wrote an article in the 9'74 R&T about this Jag.He just sent it to me..he must be beyond cool. Here's the first page..and next, the last. If I had a real computer I'd link it to the pdf,but alas,n/a. He's obviously had a good time owning this puppy...
    Cheers,RE
