The fact that Jaguar didn't actually build this thing will always baffle/disappoint me. Would have fit in perfectly as the elegant hybrid hypercar to accompany the 918, Laferrari and P1.

Had they made it with the F type V8 and some hybrid (don't care which one), and sold it for +- 500k...they'd be in the green! It's a great looking car.

Totally agree. Even as a halo car, it makes sense. One of the few missteps in Jags resurgence.

Agreed. It was a fantastic-looking car that really should have made it into production, even in limited numbers.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Such a beautiful car, oh well.
I personally think they hit the nail on the head with their F-Type.

There is something just so right about it, I cannot put my finger on what it is, but the look just says supercar where as the latest Mclarens and Ferraris appear to be trying too hard and simply missing the mark.

Its the F40 of the modern generation in the looks dept, right on target.

Such a pity it did not become reality.

Jaguar is still a relatively small company with limited resources. I assume when they looked as the options: CX75, F-Type, F-Pace, XE, new XJ they decided the supercar would require a disproportionate amount of resources due to the hybrid drivetrain, while only being able to sell small numbers of them. So it gets the axe first, so that the others can come out on time and be great cars.

The XJ13 is the car they should have built IMO ... but yes I do understand the rules changed but oh such a pity.
