Coming from a 2012 California and a 2013 458 spider I never really liked Mclaren brand because I didn't think they were all that beautiful to look at. Sure the performance was there and now with the 488 and cali t the turbo lag is similar to both too. So when I saw the 570GT in white with saddle interior I was like wow that's a a good looking Mclaren I'll give it a shot.

Previous Mclaren designs were too heavily focused on 2 tone mixing black streaks withe color. I called them melted candle designs or the white black mix an Orca car lol. But the GT uses mostly solid body color so you just get black at front and back.

Will update here on how it compares to 458 and Cali.

It's an experiment. Just like the huracan spyder was an experiment.

My California and 458 were so much better made and drove better than my Gallardo spyder. But before I bought them I was so enthralled by my Gallardo! And before that I had a Bentley GT and thought that was the ultimate ride. You've got to keep trying the new products from different brands to see what you're missing. I still have my AMG GTS in ferrari red, it has been a solid sexy muscle car but doesn't command the exotic badge. The huracan spyder was too small inside but it was a beast. You can really tell the sharpness of naturally aspirated engine vs twin turbo of my AMG when driven back to back.

Mclaren is finally getting it's chance to show me what it's got!

essentially the same car but, and don't laugh, i don't like the side air duct in black color, i think it takes away from the overall design and looks kind of cheesy like when people put racing stripes on a non-racing version of their car

but then again i absolutely HATE blacked out rims of any kind and alcantara, so my tastes may not be mainstream

i'm not a track monster so the GT suits me well and the luggage rack is reminiscent of F12

this is basically my car attached below

How much of an issue is the tan dash as it reflects in the windshield?

The GT looks so much better than the S imo, that continuous roof line makes such a big difference compared to the awkward cut off on the S. I still have a bit of a problem with the front of the sport series from certain angles but it certainly has grown on me a lot since I saw it the first time.
    Congrats and enjoy!

The GT is a very nice ride without a doubt but since the topic of the front grille was brought up, I can't help think it looks like a vintage Got Milk Ad.

LOL you beat me to it, wondering the same thing. Mclaren design needs to contact Pininfarina, All of their car designs look like they are trying to hard, i.e.; way to busy

I think we can admire others as well as our favorite. We all benefit from competition. McLaren has really come a long way. Very impressive.

Fair enough. I did love my 458 spider thought some people would like to see what else is on the menu.

I also agree with previous Mclaren designs see my original post. The GT in white / saddle just appeals to me with that sloping fastback!

If you want to lose a bunch of money and have a hard time selling it.

I love BRG, but barely anyone else does... on anything. They don't even do well on AM or Jag. It's just an unloved color these days.

The car just depreciates fast. A new 2017 570S with 216K Msrp 50 miles is now sold for 199K without negotiation. The GT will follow the same path.

Wow thats an aggressive spec! FWIW, I think the car would look great in BRG but you are probably right about the market place.

Yeah 1st year is the worst at end of 2017 it'll be 35k down. It will slow down the following years. Should level off around the 150k mark as that's where 2012 12c are at.

Gorgeous car! We have a 570S and we love it. Ours is the launch color - Blade Silver over Saddle Tan. We LOVE the Saddle Tan interior! It's even nicer in the GT with the touring deck all done out in leather.
