On the Mark Svory website Mark Savory - Just having fun! I was reading about this old story about a beautiful coupe. It's convoluted but the car started out as a race car,' then the race car chassis was rebodied as a coupe. Then the coupe body went to a replica chassis. While J.B. Nethercutt purchased the orignal Type 51 original chassis #51133 from Gene Cesari and put a race car body on it again. I was wondering about what year that was and was it published in any Bugatti site what price was paid? The story has a happy ending with the coupe body reunited with its original chassis.
Since the coupe body was done in France in more or less the same time period, 1930s, I think it is considered original car though it was race car before that. What do the concours judges say about that? Mark Savory - Just having fun!
